6oz Self-Raising Flour

6oz Golden Caster Sugar

3 Eggs

3oz Milk

3oz Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil

3 tsp Ground Cinnamon

3 large Cooking Apples

Optional glaze - Honey & Cinnamon

Method

This recipe is so easy - just weigh all the ingredients (including the milk and Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil) and just one bowl to wash up!

1. Pre-heat your oven to 180oC and line a 20cm x 30cm tin.

2. Peel, core and cut the apples into 1cm diced pieces.

3. Put all ingredients except for the apples into a food mixer or mix with a hand held mixer until fully combined.

4. Add the apples and gently fold in by hand.

5. Pour the cake mixture into the prepared tin and cook for 25 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.

6. Leave to cool in the tin for 10 minutes and then remove to cool on a wire rack.

If you want to glaze the cake brush over with honey and a sprinkling of cinnamon whilst still warm.
