Yorkshire Waldorf Salad
INGREDIENTS
Serves 4-6 as a side salad
Our take on a Waldorf Salad – fresh and fruity with mellow and full flavours from the Wensleydale Blue Cheese.
3 sticks of celery, sliced
100g red seedless grapes, halved
1 Braeburn apple, cored and diced
3 spring onions, finely sliced
50g walnut pieces, crumbled (optional)
Baby gem lettuce, shredded
150g Wensleydale Blue Cheese, crumbled
3 tbsps Yorkshire Mayonnaise
METHOD
Bring together the salad ingredients in a large bowl. Pop in the Wensleydale Blue Cheese and the Yorkshire Mayonnaise and gently fold together to cover the salad ingredients.
Depending on your taste you may want to use a little or less mayonnaise. Serve immediately.
