New Year - A Time for Healthier Habits
January is a month of fresh starts. After the indulgence of the festive season, many of us crave a return to balance. But healthy eating can be equally as delicious as the festive season has been!
This month is about more than resolution - it’s about small habits that will become part of our every day, and we can do that with just little changes, and they can easily start in the kitchen. At Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil we’re all about making it simple for you to connect with food that tastes good and supports that healthier food journey.
Let us share with you some of our favourite transitional recipes that will start us off right on that journey. Each using seasonal produce and our products that start with our cold pressed Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil – the healthier oil.
Smoked Haddock Chowder
A comforting bowl that brings a warmth to winter days. Made with our award-winning Oak Smoked Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, this complements the smoked haddock perfectly, and has all the depth of flavour you need in one bowl. Created for us by Yorkshire Chef Steph Moon, as part of our Chefs’ Collection of recipe.
Kale & Caulilflower Salad with Pickled Red Onions
This warm salad shows off British veggies at their best. The pickled red onions are low in calories, and a good source of vitamins and antioxidants, so they are worth making, and simpler to make than it sounds! We make plenty, so we have them all through the season. A drizzle of our Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil with Chilli & Spice to finish the dish adds a good layer of heat.

Spatchcock Chicken with Fennel & Roasted Veggies
A sharing dish that brings everyone together. Choose your favourite roasted veggies to serve with this spatchcocked chicken and please everyone around the table. Our delicious Fennel Dressing is the closest to a vinaigrette within our range, so can be used on your salads during this seasonal food change too.

Lemon & Dill Fish Bites
So simple to make, this healthy baked fish recipe uses our Yorkshire Mayonnaise with Lemon, which brings a zing of flavour to let you know that spring is on the way! A winner of a dish for all the family. Serve with some homemade oven chips, baked in a little Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil for a Friday night supper to please everyone.
