Garlic Marinaded Steak with Creamy Mushroom Sauce
This special steak recipe is one of our favourite dinner recipes and it's all about the flavour from our Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil with Garlic. It's very much a versatile recipe and we have enjoyed this with both our Oak Smoked Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, and Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil with Cracked Black Pepper Oil.
Enjoy this with a favourite cut of steak from Warrendale Wagyu who supply the very best award-winning British Wagyu beef direct to your door. We go classic with either a rump or sirloin cut, but that's up to you!
Serves 2
INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil with Garlic
2 British steaks, your choice of cut
50ml double cream
150g mushrooms quartered, any type but we love chestnut mushrooms
Salt to season
METHOD
Let your steak come to room temperature, marinading in 2 tbsp of the Garlic Oil. Heat a heavy based frying pan with 1 tbsp of Garlic Oil, and then when hot add the steak and turn to a medium / high heat.
Cook the steak for around 2 minutes on each side for a rare steak, longer if you wish to cook it to a different preference. Remove the steak from the pan and leave to rest.
Add a further drizzle of the Garlic Oil to the juices and add your sliced mushrooms. Continue to cook on a medium heat. When the mushrooms are cooked, drizzle through the cream, and season to taste.
Remove from the heat and serve drizzled over your steaks to serve.
