You know us. Our support of the local food and drink industry has been with us since day one. From our early collaborations with food producers and chefs to develop our award-winning products, to today sharing our Yorkshire Stories of those we’ve got to know during our time in the industry.

Throughout that time, we’ve also felt the support of the industry’s best, and one woman who has championed Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil, along with the amazing produce Yorkshire has to offer, is Steph Moon. This chef has her finger in a lot of pies (we love the pun!), and we have always been in awe of her. Her accolades and achievements over the years are too long to list.

Steph, a Yorkshire farmer’s daughter, grew up on a dairy farm. She trained at Craven College, only enrolling after a push by her school home economics teacher who recognised her talent. Her career got off to the most meteoric of starts, following an opportunity to show her skills at The Dorchester on Park Lane. At the time, this prestigious kitchen was headed by the Swiss chef, Anton Mosimann, who achieved 2 Michelin Stars whilst there, and Steph, through a little luck and a lot of hard work, scooped up one of very few permanent positions working with him.

Over the next few years her passion for food took her around the world, but it seems she is happiest back in Yorkshire. We watched closely when she appeared on the BBC’s Great British Menu, representing the North-East for 3 consecutive years. And the good people of Harrogate were lucky enough to enjoy her time as Executive Chef at Rudding Park Hotel whilst she maintained her 2 rosettes in the Clocktower Restaurant for over 8 years. She still works closely with them today as a chef consultant, whilst also sharing that creative expertise across the country with her successful consultancy, All Things Food.

Steph was our first chef choice to kick off our Chefs Collection. A group of recipes created with our products and their creativity and expertise to share with you.

Working with Steph has been an experience we won’t forget. A huge raft of dishes were conquered in a short space of time, with Steph working with us to create the perfect recipes that we know you will love, using the best of local ingredients. Her energy in the kitchen is off the scale, we created show stopping dishes with ease, learnt tips along the way, and the whole team ate very well that day!

As we finished our day full, and exhausted, Steph was off to Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway for the weekend to develop their menu, and the days ahead packed with chef demos! Her passion and energy for promoting local food and drink knows no bounds!
