“March comes in like a lamb, and out like a lion....

So my Granddad keeps telling me anyhow. But quite apt this week, we have had some blustery weather as I’m sure a lot of people in the UK have this week, but for us thankfully nothing too damaging, but it’s pretty bracing when you get outside, yesterday showed me blue sky and brilliant sunshine along with black clouds and hailstorms, all within an hour!

But as the clocks have sprung forward, the sunlight is creeping further and further into the evenings which I think is a welcome sign for everyone here at YRO.

Lambing started last week, and another old saying goes- many hands make light work, which means all hands on deck to help out, the tea room is quite full now when everyone gets stopped for a much needed break!

Spring also means our food shows are beginning to keep us busy, we have a few coming up, Wakefield Rhubarb Festival kicked it off at the end of February which is a good foodie day out, then coming up we have our regular markets at Stokesley and Hovingham this weekend along with BBC Good Food at Harrogate, next weekend. Then the week after Harrogate it’s up to Bishop Auckland, all whilst keeping our regular stockists topped up for the upcoming Easter weekend.

please come and say hello if you see any of us at a show or market we always like to hear feedback on our products and recipe ideas are always welcome; hopefully you get an Easter egg (or two!) this weekend and more importantly time to relax with family and friends.”
