It’s Hamper Time!

November is always a busy month for us foodie producers, everyone I know is dashing from one show to another, busy making stock, and praying the weather stays fine for all the lovely Christmas events! It has been made especially busy this year as we decided to host our own event – ‘Taste the Wolds’ at the neighbouring Robert E Fuller Gallery. The event I am delighted to say was a success, and really started my festive mood. Visitors enjoyed a look around the Gallery whilst sampling a showcase of Wolds produce. From Beer and Gin to Jam and Pork Pies, all with a glass of wine and a minced pie clasped in their hands!

The evening was also an opportunity to build your own bespoke hamper filled with products from all the producers there. Four readymade versions of these hampers are available through our online shop just have a look at the ‘Taste the Wolds’ Hampers for an example of what is available. Remember as with our own Box Hampers I am happy to make up alternative combinations, just drop me an email and I will see what I can do!

So my life is currently surrounded by raffia, gift boxes and paper shred. I love it though - nothing makes me happier than a good bow! Our 2 year old Charlie seems quite entertained by the whole thing too, especially when making Santa hats for our bottles (on show from this weekend onwards!) It is a great time to get him involved, he is becoming a dab hand at sales also... I have attached a picture of Charlie training Adam recently at Murton Market!!!

So this weekend the Christmas decorations are out and we are off to Fountains Abbey and Beverley Minster. I’m not sure you can get any more festive than those two venues. All we need now is snow!
